What is Catapult Your Capacity?

Catapult Your Capacity is a training series designed to better equip our local nonprofits with the tools they need to make our communities a better place to live, work and play. Each session will include expert facilitators and will be interactive, content-rich and FUN! The series is also designed to continue the conversation…ensuring all questions are answered and fostering a collaborative nonprofit environment. Let’s build capacity and a stronger nonprofit community…TOGETHER!

Why should I participate?

The Catapult Your Capacity sessions will not only help build your skill-set, individually, they will also enhance the work of your entire organization.
Each session will include expert facilitators and be interactive, content-rich and FUN! The series is also designed to continue the conversation…ensuring all questions are answered and fostering a collaborative nonprofit environment. Let’s build capacity and a stronger nonprofit community…TOGETHER!

Why is there a charge?

The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation is partnering with the Support Center on this project. We are subsidizing this high-value training series to provide you with the tools you need take your organization to the next level.

Please note: There are a limited number of scholarships available for organizations with financial hardship.  Please reach out to heather@gruninfoundation.org with requests.

What is the Innovation Lab Lunch?

Immediately following each training session, nonprofits will come to the table for a facilitated peer learning session led by local community leaders. They will give attendees the chance to meet and network with fellow nonprofit and community leaders, allow for meaningful discussions, and ultimately, help to create a more collaborative nonprofit network in our community.

What if I registered and am unable to attend? Can I get a refund?

Cancellations can be made up until seven days before the training session. You will be eligible for a full refund or credit to an upcoming training session. Please email Gabriela Barria (gbarria@supportcenteronline.org) for cancellation.

Is Catapult Your Capacity only for executive leaders?

No. Each session topic targets varying levels of nonprofit staff members. It is up to each organization to select who should participate. To facilitate, we have added recommended staff members under each session description.

Who are the people behind Catapult Your Capacity?

The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation is funding and spearheading the Catapult Your Capacity training series, along with the following partners: Support Center and Center for Nonprofits.

What do I get with my registration?

When you register for a session, you will receive a continental breakfast, hot buffet lunch, a training session facilitated by industry experts and training tools you can take with you. In addition, in the month following each training there will be informal booster sessions. These will include breakfast.

What are the follow-up booster sessions?

The month following each training session, informal booster sessions will be held over breakfast. These sessions will be facilitated by the Support Center and will give the attendees the chance to further discuss previous trainings, discuss what they might have implemented, express road blocks to implementation, and more. It’s also another opportunity for peer-learning and networking within the nonprofit community. The follow-up booster sessions are voluntary and free!

Is my registration transferrable?

If you cannot attend a workshop, you are welcome to substitute another member of your organization.  Please email Gabriela Barria (gbarria@supportcenteronline.org) to let us know so we can make the change.
